01 / Define the brief

You provide: An idea, sketch, sample or existing design, plus intended use, target cost, volumes and constraints.
FFG works on: Clarify requirements, open questions and the mechanical definition needed.
You receive: An agreed development scope and priorities for design work.
Decision point: Confirm the brief and the next design tasks.

02 / Develop and review

You provide: Feedback on concepts, prototypes or existing files.
FFG works on: Refine the concept and mechanical definition; review Design to Cost and Design for Manufacturing options.
You receive: Design files and documented options or changes, as agreed in scope.
Decision point: The customer selects the direction and approves the final design.

03 / Prepare the supplier handoff

You provide: The approved design and commercial or quality requirements.
FFG works on: Organize the technical information suppliers need to quote and manufacture.
You receive: A package defined by scope, potentially including 2D/3D files, manufacturing specifications, tender requirements, process instructions and quality instructions.
Decision point: The customer approves the package before supplier engagement or production planning.

Engineering can be commissioned independently of manufacturing. Supplier engagement and production support can be discussed after package approval.
